Our initiative is dedicated to establishing Perak as a vibrant destination for international students. With its rich cultural heritage, affordable living costs, and high-quality educational institutions, Perak offers a unique blend of academic excellence and an enriching lifestyle. By positioning Perak as a leading education hub, we aim to attract students from all over the world and provide them with a dynamic learning experience.
We are already collaborating with Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah (USAS), and the Perak State Government to bring over 3,000 international students to Perak in the coming years. Together, we are working to promote Edutourism and ensure Perak becomes a preferred destination for global learners.

The goal of attracting 3,000 international students to Perak goes beyond education. This initiative is designed to stimulate the local economy by increasing demand for accommodation, services, and businesses. By fostering a thriving student community, we anticipate long-term economic growth and opportunities for local entrepreneurs. Moreover, integrating education with tourism creates a sustainable Edutourism model that benefits both students and the region.
Strategic Alignment with MOHE’s Goals
This initiative aligns with Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) vision to attract 200,000 international students by 2030. It contributes directly to the growth of Malaysia’s higher education sector while supporting the country’s global education reputation. By promoting Edutourism in Perak, we are positioning Malaysia as a leader in providing world-class education within a diverse and multicultural environment.
